On the 11th November 2011 Guerillas and several other Aberdeen clubs gathered at the Forum to let their hair down for the annual end of season ball and prize-giving. The event was well attended by Guerillas with over 3 tables of players making it along to party with, amongst others, Leopards, BP, NHS, Hoodlums and Subsea Sharks.

With Graeme Buchan standing down as event organiser and compère the microphone was handed to Guerillas Simon and Mark to MC the evening in their own inimitable style. After spending many years running the Aberdeen leagues and weekend events Graeme is stepping back to concentrate on other things but it is worth taking a moment to consider his contribution to the sport in Aberdeen and this was recognised with a presentation on the evening.

Of course a big part of the evening is recognising the efforts of the players, teams and referees through the year. Although much of the silverware had already been handed out at on the last night of the summer leagues the autumn and ATS trophies were still to be presented. One of the summer league cup finals had to be delayed to the autumn and so the Kirsty collected the Quaich on behalf of the activitymix Galactic Guerillas.

The summer Quaich on the left, note the much smaller quaich belongs to the BP guys, this says it all really

The other trophies handed out on the night were:

Autumn League & Cup

League runners up – Shield: Genesis

Overall League Winners – Cup: activitymix Granite Guerillas

Plate: NHS

Tankard: Untouchables

Quaich: BP

Cup: activitymix Granite Guerillas

Aberdeen Touch Series (competed for over 7 weekend events)

4th Place – Plate: Guerillas Killer Bees

3rd Place – Tankard: Hoodlums

Runners-Up – Shield: Leopards

Winners – Cup: activitymix Guerillas

So lots to celebrate for Guerillas in what was the club’s most successful year ever. So drink overflowed from cups (and Hoodlums’ evil whisky Tankard).

The Forum staff were very well presented and most helpful

Is Eamonn refusing a drink or just making more space?

Product placement – was Simon taking this picture, ‘Can you all move to your right a bit’?
